DRACORUBIO
Roderique "Dracorubio" Arisiaman (1976)
graduated in 2011 from the School of the Arts at Utrecht, as Bachelor Picture & Media Technology with a specialization in 3D animation and visual effects. In 2008 he changed course and sought a new way to tell his stories in the form of photo-graphy and image editing. He is a photographer, picture editor and story-teller. He uses photography as a canvas to make his fantasy worlds come to life. From science fiction to fantasy, from mythology to horror, each image is a world in itself. Photography itself is a narrative medium, every picture has an underlying story, the people who are portrayed, the style and the location. I also want to carry even more people with my edits in their own world. Each image extracts a feeling, an emotion, an idea and a story. This is different for everyone and personal and therefore gives the image more dimension. |
NICO BRONS
Nico graduated at the Photo Academy in Amsterdam in december 2013.
I make photos on intuition and feeling. The technique is secondary, but often it is a tool that you need. There are many so called "photography rules" someone can be stuck into, and therefore I always try to break through them... Eventually it's about the image and not about how you get to that or what expensive or cheap equipment you have used or about what digital editing you did... I create autonomous work in which abstraction, photo edits, strange scenes, dark sides, but also humor return. I like to go stepping across and try to show refreshing and innovative things. IPhone Art: I am also a photographer who often works with my iPhone (see the photos above, all made by Nico on the iPhone). With the help of this great device I try to create extraordinary images, portraits, landscapes and abstract representations. When I make creations with the iPhone I don't use any other device or equipment, only the iPhone and the photography-apps. There is absolutely no intervention from other external equipment... I also give lectures and workshops about smartphone photography for everyone who is interested. |
MATTHIJS SMILDE
Matthijs is a conceptual & storytelling and portrait photographer based in Haren, The Netherlands. With an artistic mind he tries to create one picture stories. His award winning works are published internationally. He works for international clients as well for individuals who want their stories to be told.
"Smilde's art blurs the lines between nightmarish and dreamy visions, combining haunting and frightening details with tender and magical attributes, creating a hypnotic and wild setting in which the viewers mind can loose itself and explore its own inner tales. In his compositions, the artist expertly uses and creates tension between opposing medians, big and small, light and dark, soft and hard, making his imagery incredible powerful, eery and foreboding all the while never revealing the true meaning and message of his art works and thus forcing the viewer to engage and personally make sense of what seems at last hard to grasp. |
RIANNE WITTEVEEN
Rianne Witteveen was born in 1967 in Ede (nl). She gets her inspiration from daily situations, people she meet. From the period that she worked in psychiatric health care where feelings and the way people showed or hided their real face because their problems. Witteveen aims for a simplicity in her figurative work. Where the drawing line will tell the emotions, feelings of the person or situation. The most used technics by Rianne Witteveen are etching, monotype and 3D art. Etching, that’s the way to show the sketches in her head. Monotype, the way for her to work directly and intuïtieve on paper. 3D, realize her line-drawings from paper into 3D. It feels like getting into a new world with new possibilities. Everything above starts in her head, where she keeps her sketchbook. |
CLINTON LOFTHOUSE
An 80’s baby raised on cinema and comic books, Clinton Lofthouse came into photography late back in 2011. With no prior knowledge of either cameras or Photoshop, he bought his first DSLR and began to teach himself….. Within his first year of learning he was published in the States. Clinton cut his teeth in the photography world shooting dark art / horror projects and Urban Exploration, and has since moved on to more a stylised cinematic approach to his images, with a dark edge.
Clinton has worked with a variety of clients ranging from alternative apparel designers to international book publishers, and recently became one of the new members of Inn Focus Group, a camera club which has been placed sixth in the world rankings. Clinton believes that every image should be an adventure, a story told or to tell. And he does his very best to create every image with that in mind, whether it is the subtle flicker of emotion on the face of a client, or creating a whole new world through the lens of his camera. He is drawn to, and strives to create cinematic and stylized images, to take away the normality of a photo, and instead give the client the extraordinary. Clinton offers full Editorial/Commercial photography services and retouching, with an imaginative and exciting viewpoint. He believes he can give your brand something fresh, and innovative. |
IRINA PANAIT
I am specialized in digital art and have been drawing since forever.....
Surrealist realms. Colors. Myth. These are the things that the Romanian artist inside my head gives birth to. My art is digital. I love prints. I also love canvas & oils. I love how my self-taught hands leave traces when my voice is silent. I hated art school, there I've said it. |
GUFLUX
![]() From dark into light, from new moon to full moon, via first quarter and last quarter: the cycle in the night sky, through the seasons a relative constant, observed all over the world, a far glistening light that surprises and connects people across the earth…
After years of absence on the musical front, singer and producer John van Loon re-enters the fold as Guflux. With the double album "Blue Moon" he unites past, current times, what’s ahead and beyond in one creative flow. Based on ethnic folk melodies and rhythms, Guflux’s music grows and blossoms from a melodic gothic underground darkness to a celestial firework in a harmony of spheres. |
JACCO HAKER
